“You had me at Hello”… For anyone who has seen this movie will feel a special feeling in their heart when they read this line. This is the pinnacle of just knowing how special someone makes you feel. Its a different kind of knowing, simple, sweet and hardly describable in words…

One Loyal colleague and One outrageous client is all took for Jerry Maguire to truly win in life. (A little ‘Ray’ and sunshine as well of course!). However, it made me realise something special tonight. It isn’t always a bunch of people who make our lives special. Sometimes its just that one person or those 2-3 people in our lives who make our lives unimaginably beautiful. We try to seek validation from so many around us, never truly feeling satisfied. All of this because somewhere inside our heart we want someone to believe in us. We want to feel safe to express our deepest, most vulnerable feelings to someone. To confide in someone, to celebrate the losses and wins in life. For someone to just be there for us when we need them. As Bruce Springsteen sung “Secret Garden” such a underrated classic in today’s hyperactive world where everything gets governed by how much money or power you have. Its a secret garden, not everyone will understand.

So here’s the gist. Celebrate little moments of your life. Cherish those few around you who care for you. Show you respect, show appreciation, are trying to understand how to make you smile more frequently. It will just be a handful, maybe even less. However, these few are the real ones, the ones who believe in you more than you sometimes believe in yourself. Never forget them, for its due to the them that we can say “SHOW ME THE MONEY”. Be our wildest, craziest selves and they will still look at you, smile and say this mad idiot is special in my life.
